There’s a few reasons why I create the work that I do. As a ballet dancer, it’s all about intentional movement. Creating a flow and connection as you move through the piece. As a ballet dancer, I capture all of the above in my photographs. I document the connection, the intention, the movement. The posed and the unposed. Your love unfiltered.
There’s so many photos I have in albums, boxes, stored away; that I look through fondly even after loved ones aren’t with me anymore. When I lost my grandmother, all I had of her were photographs.
I had photos from christmastime, birthdays, vacations, and as painful as it was to not have her, I appreciate every moment we captured together. The smiles I can hold onto forever now. When I see her smile in a photograph, I can hear her laugh.
I give couples photos they can thumb through. Time worn memories that last a lifetime and more. I want to give my couples that heirloom that’ll be passed down long after you have gone. Because once we are gone, photos are all our loved ones will have left.
My favorite part of the wedding day
Is definitely a toss up between the Father/Daughter dances and the vows.
The vows give you a piece of the couple. They allow you to be inside their connection, the inside jokes and embarrassing stories. It's so obvious at that very moment why they are saying I do.
I love the Father/Daughter dance because I've always envisioned me and my dad. I think about how this is his baby girl, and now she's grown up, but he still sees her as his baby and he's holding her so tightly.
I cry every. single. time.
I have a passion for helpless animals.
I have a blind and deaf pomeranian named Caboose who I have owned for the past 6 years since he was a wee baby.
He never ceases to show endless amounts of love though, and has been a constant snuggle buddy through countless editing sessions.
He is the best companion after a long wedding day.
I love to dance. I have dance parties in my kitchen, in the shower, anywhere. Whenever my childhood best friend visits, we schedule in a dance party and dance till we're sweating and cannot breathe.
But I also dance ballet as a side hobby when I'm not shooting and have been for 10 years
Certified vegan for almost 5 years, and (thankfully) don't miss cheese anymore because I can't remember the taste.
But I make some bomb vegan tacos, just as my partner who is vegan by proxy and literally inhales cheese and meat when we go out for dinner.
I started shooting with film in 2022 and hope to add it into weddings in the future.
I was always afraid of not being able to see what I captured right away, but there's such an art and nostalgia to shooting on film and I feel like it just speaks to my soul.
Right now I'm just capturing hikes, my cat, and things that make me go "I want to remember this moment"
